Event Messages for Routers
9-8 117349-A Rev. A
Entity Code/Event Code 20/55
Decimal Identifier 16782391
Severity: Warning
Message: Sync Module <module_no.>: co-processor exception <code_tag>:
Meaning: The coprocessor on the synchronous module has taken an exception. <vector> indicates
which type of exception occurred. <faulting pc> indicates the address of the faulted
instruction. <pc> is the return PC to which an RTE would return. <sr> is the value of the
SR when the exception occurred. <stack pointer> points at the exception frame pushed on
the coprocessor's stack.
If the message indicates “SRAM,” then the coprocessor is executing code from the
synchronous module's SRAM, and that code was downloaded from the boot.exe image. If
the message indicates “PROM (rev. x),” then the coprocessor is executing code from the
synchronous module's PROM, and it is revision x. If the rev is not listed, then the failure
occurred before the PROM revision was extracted from the PROM.
Action: All synchronous lines on this module will be reset and will be restarted by GAME. This
error may indicate a hardware problem with the synchronous module. The board should be
replaced if the error persists. Software may be to blame, however, if the new board
exhibits the same problem.
