Displaying Binary Conﬁguration Files as BCC Syntax

After booting the device from a binary conﬁguration ﬁle, you can

1. Use the show conﬁg command to view the current device conﬁguration in

readable BCC syntax. For an example of

show conﬁg output, refer to

“Displa

ying the Total Device Conﬁguration” on page 2-26.

2. Enter new conﬁguration commands to override elements of the active device

conﬁguration. (See Chapter 3 for more information about how to enter BCC

conﬁguration commands.)

3. Save the ﬁle as an ASCII conﬁguration ﬁle that the BCC can read using the

source command. (See “Saving Commands on a Workstation” on page 3-14

for instructions.)

4. Save the ﬁle as a binary conﬁguration ﬁle, bootable on the same device or on

another device. (See “Saving the Active Conﬁguration to an NVFS Volume”

on page 3-14 for instructions.)
