Function:

Identifies the cipher key length (strength) for this SA.

Instructions:

Select a cipher key length of either 40 or 56 bits. The longer key length

(strength) provides greater security.

Function:

Specifies the key for an SA cipher algorithm. This key value must match on

both sides of an SA to enable the encryption and decryption of data packets

according to the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm.

Instructions:

Enter a 16-digit (8-byte) hexadecimal value. (Enter the prefix

before the

16 digits.)
