Customizing OSPF Services

Using the BCC
To specify a slot for the OSPF soloist, navigate to the global OSPF prompt and
enter:
slot-mask
slot
slot
is
all-slots
(the default) or an integer in the range 1 to 14 to indicate a slot.
To maintain a copy of the LSDB for the backup soloist, navigate to the global
OSPF prompt and enter:
backup-lsdb
enable
For example, the following command sequence specifies slot 12 for the OSPF
soloist and causes OSPF to maintain a separate copy of the LSDB for the backup
soloist:
ospf#
slot-mask 12
ospf#
backup-lsdb enable
ospf#
Using Site Manager
Site Manager Procedure

1. In the Configuration Manager window, choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
OSPF
. The OSPF menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit OSPF Global Parameters window
opens.
5. Set the following parameters:
•
OSPF Slot
•
Backup Enable
Click on
Help
or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-64.
6. Click on
OK
. Site Manager returns you to the Configuration
Manager window.
