Difference Between Endpoint and Session Reports

The QoS data that appears on an endpoint report is an aggregation of all the sessions that are

active at this endpoint. Some endpoints (such as media gateways) can participate in multiple

concurrent sessions, so a high value on a single endpoint report indicates that one or more of

the sessions is/was experiencing degradation of quality. Because an endpoint can participate in

multiple concurrent sessions, a high value on the report indicates that one or more of the

sessions is experiencing degradation of quality. It does not indicate which session.

In contrast, a report showing both endpoints involved in the session displays the QoS data as

experienced by both endpoints for that session only. To isolate problems, you must narrow your

search by either searching for a specific QoS value or altering the date of the report.
