Configuring Traps Sent by a Router
You can specify by category, entity, or event the types of trap messages you want a
router to send to your Site Manager workstation.
Specifying Traps by Category
You can configure a router to send
• All traps
• Generic traps
• Specific traps
• No traps

Platform Steps
UNIX 1. Open a command line window.
2. Enter
wf
<port number>
at the prompt.
DOS 1. Start the Windows environment. The Program Manager window
appears.
2. Double-click on the Site Manager program group from the
Program Manager window.
3. Select the PC/Site Manager icon in the Site Manager program
group.
4. Select File > Properties.
5. Add
wf
<port number>
to the end of the command line.
6. Double-click on the PC/Site Manager icon.
Note: You must specify the new port number every time you restart Site
Manager.
