Glossary of Avaya MPS Series Terminology MMF

MMF MultiMedia Format file. A type of file that contains the following

types of elements:

• vocabulary/speech/touchtone elements

• Caller Message Recording (CMR) audio

•fax data

Every individual recording in an MMF file is called an element, and

MMF files normally contain multiple related elements.

Create MMF files using either PeriStudio or the mkmf system utility.

A single MMF is made up of two files: the index file and the data file.

To use an MMF as a playback MMF, it must be activated with the

smp activate command.
