Packet Capture Parameter Descriptions

The following sections describe each parameter, its equivalent number, and its

possible values:

If you conﬁgure an invalid value for an attribute, an error message appears in the

log.

Basic Parameters

The basic parameters are common to all Packet Capture conﬁgurations. The basic

parameters described in this section are as follows:

• Disa

ble

• Delete

• Filename

• State

• Line Number

• Control

• Capture

• Packet Size

• Buffer Size

• Direction

• Count

Note: Packet Capture reads attribute values only when it starts. To make

Packet Capture respond to a change to an attribute value, stop it and restart it.
