Configuring Bridging Services

Parameter: Ethernet Type
Default: Ethernet
Options: Ethernet
| IEEE8023
Function: Specifies the type of frame you want to use for this station, either Ethernet
Version 2 (Ethernet) or Ethernet 802.3 (IEEE8023).
Instructions: Select the type you want to use for this station.

Deleting a Station
To delete a station from the station list:
1. Select Protocols > Global Protocols > Translation Bridge > Ethernet Type
List from the Configuration Manager window (see F
igure 4-4 on
pa
ge 4-14).
The Ethernet Station Type List window appears (see F
igure 4-8 on
pa
ge 4-24).
2. Select the address you want to delete. Then click on Delete.
3. Click on Apply to save your changes.
4. Click on Done to exit the window.
Site Manager returns you to the Configuration Manager window.
Deleting the Translation Bridge from the Router
To delete the translation bridge from the router, select Protocols > Global
Protocols > Translation Bridge > Delete TB from the Configuration Manager
window (see F
igure 4-4 on page 4-14).
The translation bridge is no longer enabled on the router.
