User-Deﬁned XNS Criteria

In addition to the predeﬁned ﬁlter criteria, you can create trafﬁc ﬁlters with

criteria you deﬁne by specifying an offset and length to the start of the XNS

header (XNS_BASE) as a reference ﬁeld for a user-deﬁned criterion.

XNS Actions

The XNS ﬁltering actions are Accept, Drop, and Log.

OSI Criteria and Actions

You can conﬁgure OSI inbound trafﬁc ﬁlters based on speciﬁed bit patterns

contained within the CLNP header.

Predeﬁned OSI Criteria

Table 3-2 lists the predeﬁned ﬁltering ﬁelds for OSI inbound trafﬁc ﬁlters and the

reference ﬁeld, offset, and length value for each criterion.
