Chapter 4

Customizing DLSw Services

When you start DLSw on the router, default values are in effect for all parameters.

Depending on the requirements of your network, you may want to change some of

these values. This chapter includes the following information:

For a description of all Site Manager parameters for DLSw, see Appendix A,

“DLSw Service Parameters.”

You can configure DLSw over LLC and source route bridging. For instructions on

configuring LLC, see Configuring LLC Services. For instructions on configuring

source route bridging, Configuring Bridging Services.

When you configure DLSw for single- and dual-switch services, you must set the

DLSw basic global and basic interface parameters for your network. The

parameters that you edit will depend on the type of interface you are configuring.
