Demand Circuit Configuration
After you create a demand pool, configure a demand circuit for routers 4 and 7 by
completing the following tasks:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Dialup
.
The Dialup menu opens.
2. Choose
Demand Circuits
. The Demand Pools window opens.
3. Click on
PPP Circuits
. The PPP Demand Circuits window
opens.
4. Click on
Add
. Site Manager adds a demand circuit.
5. In the top left corner of the window,
choose
Protocols.
The Protocols menu opens.
6. Choose
Add/Delete
. The Select Protocols menu opens.
7. Choose
IP
and click on
OK
. The IP Configuration window opens.
8. Set the
IP Address
parameter as follows:
• Router 4:
150.1.1.2
• Router 7:
150.1.1.1
9. Set the
Subnet Mask
parameter to
255.255.255.0
for both routers.
10. Click on
OK
. You return to the PPP Demand Circuits
window.
11. Set the
CHAP Local Name
parameter as
follows:
• Router 4:
BLN1
(case-sensitive)
• Router 7:
BLN2
(case-sensitive)
12. Set the
CHAP Secret
parameter to
East
for both routers.
13. Set the
Connection Mode
parameter as
follows:
• Router 4:
Collision Master
(default)
• Router 7:
Collision Slave
14. Click on
Apply
. Site Manager saves your changes.
15.Keep the PPP Demand Circuits window
open and go to the next section.
