Defining an OSPF Announce Policy
To define a new OSPF announce policy, you must do the following:
• Supply a name for the policy.
• Set the state of the policy (enabled or disabled).
• Specify whether OSPF advertises or ingore an update that matches the policy.
• Rank the policy according to precedence and other criteria.
You can use the BCC or Site Manager to define an OSPF announce policy.
Using the BCC
To define a new OSPF announce policy, navigate to the BGP global prompt and
enter:
announce
policy_name
policy_name is a unique name for the announce policy.
A policy-specific prompt appears, indicating that the BCC has created the policy
using default values for all parameters.
For example, the following command creates an announce policy named pol_1:
ospf# announce pol_1
announce/pol_1/ospf#
At the policy-specific prompt, enter:
parameter value
parameter value is one of the parameter/value pairs shown in Table 7-8.
