•A new GET operation is received by the daemon.

• The application unbinds from VMST (exits or crashes).

• Host connection is lost. In this case, all applications currently using the link will

receive condition hostdown.

An application can also receive a condition:

• hostdown, if at the time of the request there are no connections to the host at all,

or if the specified connection is not established (or lost).

• hostup, if command option -m u is specified and the first link to the host is

established. It allows applications to block on DELAY waiting for a hostup

condition instead of looping indefinitely when host computer goes down. This

condition is not returned to applications (by default).

• getfail, if specified pool or common pool is full. Optionally, all requests may be

queued by the VTCPD daemon until there is an available slot.

• invreq, if RECEIVE request is sent prior to SEND (that is, no message ID is

available) and the pool size is greater then 1 (there is no Message ID matching if

the pools size is 1).

• invreq, if the specified connection doesn't fall into (1-maxlinks) range

• invreq, if the string in SEND message is not long enough to accommodate the

Message ID.

• inf, if the string received from the host is not large enough to accommodate the

message ID.

• hostfail, if the daemon cannot allocate memory or is experiencing some other

internal problems.
