Soliciting Host Data on page 73.)

An application that solicits data from the host can reserve and release a host

connection. However, if there is a limited pool of slots, the application can limit the

time it reserves the slot by sending and receiving data without reserving and releasing

the host connection (see Releasing Connection Slot and Handling Exceptions on

page 69.)

VTCPD releases the slot after the application receives the host data.
