FR Backup Interface Parameters
Use the following descriptions as guidelines when you configure the backup
interface parameters.
Parameter: FR Service Control
Default: Enable (for Primary/Shared interface types)
|
Disable (for Primary/Secondary interface types)
Options: Enable | Disable
Function: Enables the Frame Relay interface.
For secondary interfaces, select Enable to activate the interface once the
configuration is complete. Otherwise, accept the default.
For shared interfaces, select Disable to deactivate the Frame Relay
interface. Otherwise, accept the default.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.9.9.1.1.2
Parameter: Mgmnt Type
Default: ANSI T1.617D
Options: DLCMI None

LMI Switch | Annex D Switch | Annex A Switch
Function: Specifies the management protocol that the router and the Frame Relay
network use to communicate status information. Routers connected back
to back also use a management protocol to exchange status information.
DLCMI None provides no management interface between the router and
the Frame Relay network. In the absence of management support, you
must configure all PVCs manually.
Rev 1 LMI provides user-side management services as specified by
Revision 1 of the Local Management Interface standard.
ANSI T1.617D provides user-side management services as specified in
Annex D to ANSI standard T1.617-1991.
