ATM Signaling AAL Parameter Descriptions
Signaling AAL (SAAL) parameters define the connection and timer settings the
router uses to maintain a switched connection. SAAL provides reliable transport
of signaling messages within the ATM protocol reference model. Figure A-7
shows the window sequence for the SAAL category.

Parameter: Enable
Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > ATM > Signaling AAL
Default: Enable
Options: Enable
| Disable
Function: Enables or disables SAAL on this interface.
Instructions: Accept the default, Enable, if you want SAAL to remain enabled on this
interface. Select Disable if you do not want SAAL enabled on this interface.
