Parameter: BERT Mode
Path: Configured QMCT1 or DMCT1 Connector > MCT1 Logical Lines
Default: Disable
Options: Enable

Function: Selecting Enable activates BERT mode.
Instructions: To activate BERT mode, select Enable and click on Apply.
You can configure this parameter for QMCT1 link modules and DMCT1 net
modules only.

Function: Specifies the bit pattern transmitted during BERT diagnostics. When a port is in
BERT mode, it can generate patterns such as all ones, all zeros, or a
quasi-random signal sequence (QRSS) pattern.
Instructions: Select a test pattern and click on Apply.
You can configure this parameter for QMCT1 link modules and DMCT1 net
modules only.

Path: Configured QMCT1 or DMCT1 Connector > MCT1 Logical Lines
Default: Disable
Options: AIS

Yellow
Function: Specifies the type of alarm signal to be generated while in BERT mode.
Instructions: Select AIS (alarm indication signal) to transmit Blue alarms (all ones.) Select
Yellow to transmit Yellow alarms (all zeros).
