Parameter: Local Preference

Default: 0

Range: 0 to 4294967295

Function: Assigns a local preference value to a route matching this policy. This

value overrides the calculated value for EBGP routes or the Local

Preference path attribute for IBGP routes.

Instructions: To indicate a preference, enter a value from 1 to 4294967295.

MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.2.6.9.1.16

Parameter: BGP-4 Preference

Default: 1

Options: 1 to 16

Function: Speciﬁes a value that can be used to compare a route that matches this

policy with other BGP-4 routes. The larger the value, the greater the

preference.

Instructions: To indicate maximum preference, enter 16. This parameter is valid only if

the Action parameter is set for Accept.

Parameter: AS Weight Class

Default: Weight Class 1

Range: Weight Class 1 to Weight Class 8

Function: Indicates which weight class value should be used when calculating the

AS path weight.
