Setting the Primary Clock Source

Timing is independent for the ports on an FT1 link module. For these modules,

you select the timing source for each port.

Specify the primary source for timing signals:

• Internal -- Uses the clock chip on the FT1 module

• Port 1 Ext Loop -- Uses the signal coming in from port 1

for information.

Setting the Secondary Clock Source

You can specify a backup source for timing signals:

• Internal -- Uses the clock chip on the link or net module

• Port 1 Ext Loop -- Uses the signal coming in from port 1
