Assigning Timeslots

After configuring logical lines, you configure channels (DS0s) of bandwidth by

grouping 1 to 24 contiguous or noncontiguous DS0 timeslots per DS1 frame.

To assign timeslots:

1. Start at the FT1 Logical Line window

(Figure 8-7)

2. Click on

Timeslots

. The FT1 Timeslots window opens

. This window represents the

24 FT1 timeslots.

3. Click on an

Unused

timeslot. A list of logical lines to which you can

assign the timeslot opens (Figure 8-8)

4. Select the logical line to which you want to

assign the timeslot.

5. Repeat steps 3

and 4 for each timeslot you

want to assign, or click on

Select All

assign all timeslots to a logical line.

6. Click on

. The FT1 Logical Line window opens.

7. Click on

Apply

8. Click on

Done

. The Configuration Manager window

opens.
