About This Guide
If you are responsible for configuring PPP on a Bay Networks
®
router, you need to
read this guide.
You can now use the Bay Command Console (BCC™) to configure this protocol
on a router. In this guide, you will find instructions for using both the BCC and
Site Manager. If you choose to accept all the default parameters to start PPP on the
router, you can use either BCC or Site Manager. If you choose to configure
individual parameters, however, you will find that several parameters are not yet
configurable with the BCC. In these cases, you must use Site Manager.
Before You Begin
Before using this guide, you must complete the following procedures.
For a new router:
• Install the router (refer to the installation manual that came with your router).
