To modify the characteristics of an existing ISDN channel
1 Click Configuration > Resources > Dial Up Interfaces.
2 Click the ISDN interface to configure.
3 Select the Channel Characteristics tab.
4 Double-click the field to modify.
5 Make the necessary changes.

Attribute Value Description
PPP Settings
Idle Timeout (s) <0–36000> The interval after which the ISDN interface
disconnects when there is no traffic.
Default: 90 seconds
Note: A value of 0 makes the connection persistent.
Maximum Receive Unit <128–1500> The maximum size of the packets that can be
received.
Default: 1500
Maximum Transmit
Unit
<128–1500> The maximum size of the packets that can be sent.
Default: 1500
